This solicitation is for the purchase, delivery and to perform installation of TRANE HVAC parts listed
below. Installation will be performed on 1 (one) Trane Voyager HVAC unit Model #YCHZ211C4H0CA
SERIAL # 913100581D at River North Correctional Center. Contractor must provide VADOC with a
certificate of insurance as outlined in terms and conditions before work is to begin. Contractor must also
provide HVAC license/certificate as well, please attached to your bid responses.
Equipment must be brand new condition, no refurbished/used equipment allowed.
Pricing must be FOB Destination. Any bid with freight added will be deemed unresponsive.
Equipment to be delivered and labor performed to River North Correctional Center, 329 Dellbrook Lane,
Independence, VA 24348 during normal business hours of 8am-4pm Monday-Friday.
The following specifications are intended to define the general level of quality and performance of the
requested items and are meant to be met or exceeded. These specifications are not meant to be
restrictive as to brand name or manufacturer. Brand Name or Equivalents are permitted. If
bidding an equivalent, bidder shall provide necessary literature for evaluation purposes and notate
by special designation, all met or exceeded specifications where applicable. Failure to do so will
make your bid non-responsive.
Lot 1
DESCRIPTION OF PARTS/WORK TO BE PERFORMED
1. Provide and install Two (2) compressors for one (1) Trane Voyager HVAC unit located at
Housing Unit A. Voyager Model #YCHZ211C4H0CA Serial#913100581D
2. Isolate power to unit
3. Evacuate remaining refrigerant from unit
4. Remove existing two (2) compressors from HVAC unit
5. Supply and install two (2) Trane compressors for unit
6. Replace liquid line driers
7. Replace compressor contactors
8. Test piping with nitrogen to ensure no leaks
9. Pull a vacuum prior to charging system with new refrigerant
10. Rewire new compressors as needed
11. Test unit for safe and proper operation
