Box 68 Prince George, VA 23875 (804) 722-8710 Fax (804) 732-1966 or E-Mail: mjackson@princegeorgecountyva.gov Deadline for e-mailed questions: October 11, 2022 @ 4:00 p.m. GENERAL INFORMATION 1.1 PURPOSE: The County of Prince George requires Professional Architectural and Engineering (A/E) Services related to design, planning, construction and construction management involving both new construction and modifications/rehabilitation of existing County Facilities, and intends to consolidate these requirements into a one (1) year, non-exclusive contract for these services with the option to extend the contract for three (3) additional one (1) year periods, cancelable by the County on ninety (90) days' notice. The County reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to issue RFP's for similar work, for other disciplines or types of work and for other projects as the need may occur. The County also reserves the right to issue task orders to other A/E's under similar contracts at its sole discretion, based on its evaluation of each A/E's qualifications, expertise, current workload, capabilities, performance record, location or distance to the project, and other factors as may be pertinent to the particular engagement. 1.2 PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: The County of Prince George owns and are responsible for many different types of properties throughout the county. During its normal course of operation, the County recognizes the need for A/E services for its facilities portfolio including but not limited to new facilities in planning or proposed for renovations or new construction. Project assignments vary considerably, from feasibility study to space planning to full design though construction administration to close out. It is a broad scope of potential work that the County seeks proposals from firms with the capacity to match the potential work efforts for each project. 1.3 BACKGROUND Prince George County, VA is located 28 miles south of Richmond, 89 miles west of Virginia Beach and 136 miles south of Washington, D. C the transportation nexus within the county includes i-95, i-295, us Route 460, a Norfolk southern mainline and Richmond international airport is just 25 minutes away. Our community's population is currently 43,010 (2020 census); our population on 4/1/2010 was 35,725 (2010 census). The adopted FY2023 budget for Prince George County is $160,016,873, including the general fund, special revenue funds, school funds, and water and sewer funds (enterprise); the FY 2022 budget for Prince George County was $134,390,462.
