Hancock County Courthouse Board of Supervisors will be receiving bids for the work on the exterior of their building located in Garner, Iowa. The project involves addition of a new vestibule, replacement of the northeast tower roof, limestone masonry repair, limestone replacement, sheet metal, new storefront and painting, sidewalks to the building and minor mechanical, electrical, plumbing, landscaping. Bids shall be submitted on the Bid Form and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashiers check or a certified check drawn upon a solvent bank chartered under the laws of the United States of America. If providing bid security in forms other than a bid bond, then the bid must be hand delivered. Bids will then be taken to be opened in the Supervisors Conference Room for additional space for public to attend. Hancock County anticipates contract administration period to be completed by November 11, 2022 with Construction starting approximately November 21, 2022 and ending by November 15, 2023. Contractor can complete the project before these dates and indicate on bid form the date a completion date. Hancock County reserves the right to award the contract to any responsible bidder or bidders offering suitable supplies, equipment and /or service at the lowest price taking into consideration the quality of materials or service in the best interest of the Owner. The right to reject any and all bids, and to waive irregularities and to accept a bid that is deemed in the best interest of the project.
