The City of Humble is requesting bids for Mold Remediation for the Public Works Service Garage. This project will consist of the remediation of the following areas: Garage Area 1, Garage Area 2, Restroom and Supervisor's Office. Areas identified will require complete reconstruction after remediation is completed. Deadline for submitting written requests for clarifications will be Friday, October 14, 2022, at 5:00 PM. It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to ensure that his/her bid is actually in the City of Humble, Chief Financial Officer's office prior to the expiration of the time and date above first written. Bid security in the amount of ten (10) percent of the greatest amount bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the General Instructions to Bidders. Bids will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of ninety (90) days after bid opening. It shall be each bidder's sole responsibility to inspect the site of the work and to inform him/herself regarding all local conditions under which the work is to be done. It shall be understood and agreed that all such factors have been thoroughly investigated and considered in the preparation of the bid submitted. Bidders must register on this website in order to view and/or download specifications, plans, and bid documents for this project. There is NO charge to view or download documents. The Contractor and all Subcontractors for this project will be required to pay not less than the prevailing wage rates for the area of the project as determined by the Owner and listed in the project manual. Upon consideration of the proposals, the City Council plans to award a Contract; however, the City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all formalities and technicalities, and to accept any bid which it deems advantageous to the City. Each bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Consultant, the city, and their respective agents and/or employees arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation, or recommendation of any bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond in an amount of 100% of the total contract price.
