Boiler (Heat) Replacement - Amesbury Middle School -220 Main Street Amesbury, MA 01913 The Amesbury Public Schools is seeking Bids from qualified contractors to replace the Boiler (Heat) at the Amesbury Middle School, as set forth in the attached specifications. Bidders must provide their AMESBURY MIDDLE SCHOOL - BOILER (HEAT) REPLACEMENT. The Bid must contain all information pertaining to the boiler replacement services such as the necessary preparation, schedule and plan for removal and installation, and materials list with pricing. All services will be performed during normal business hours. The Bid must contain all information pertaining to the Boiler Replacement, such as schedule for removal and replacement of boiler, including all piping, both water and gas as well as electrical. The Contract shall be for the period beginning on November 1, 2022 through November 30,2022. No requests or questions will be accepted after Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 10:00 AM. All requests for clarification and any questions about information contained in this IFB must be directed to Amesbury Public Schools: Matt Bennett, Director of Facilities at bennettm@amesburyma.gov. Answers to all substantive questions will be put in writing and supplied in the form of an Addendum by email to all parties who have received a copy of this IFB. Provide and install Weil McLain Model 1188W (or comparable model) Cast Iron forced hot water heating boiler. o Isolate and drain the left boiler as necessary o Remove piping from boiler as needed to disassemble the boiler o Remove existing Burnham boiler and legally dispose of same o Assemble new boiler in the existing foot-print of old boiler o Provide all necessary piping to connect the new boiler to the building's existing forced hot water supply and return piping o Provide and install a new low water cut off, operating and manual reset AQUASTATES o the new boiler per code o Reuse the existing Gordon Piatt gas burner o Pipe gas to burner as necessary o Fire off new burner/boiler and test all safeties o Replace any and all valves on the existing heating system that do not shut off correctly o Furnish all permits and warranties This project should commence as soon as possible and be completed by November 30, 2022.
