As of October 24, 2022. The project has been awarded with the amount Roadway Repair of Panther Branch Road. The Washington County Commissioners are requesting quotes for roadway repairs to Panther Branch Road at Panther Branch. The road will be closed for the duration of the project. The project consists of the emergency repair of the roadway at this location, removal of all debris, construction of a concrete inlet headwall, installation of three 72-in storm drain pipes on foundation backfill material, repairing the roadbed including providing additional soils, setting up subbase material, installation of asphalt pavement to provide a smooth ride, and installing rip-rap erosion control. A Notice of Intent is not required for this project as it disturbs less than 1 acre. Quote Instructions The contractor shall fill out both tabulation forms attached to this Request for Quotes. The first tabulation should include pricing for 72-in reinforced concrete pipe being installed. The second tabulation form should include pricing for 72-in corrugated steel pipe with aluminum coating being installed. The forms are clearly marked in the heading as well as in the item description. Specifications All work shall be completed per current GDOT specifications unless otherwise shown as such on the project plans. All work performed shall be inspected by the geotechnical and roadway inspector. Coordination is required by the contractor to arrange inspections at the designated times. Construction Time Once the contractor begins work, they shall not demobilize equipment or manpower from the site until completion. This project has a construction time of 60 calendar days from beginning to completion. Failure of the contractor to re-open Panther Branch Road within the 60-calendar day contract time will result in liquidated damages of $1000.00/day.
