Saving Project...

Renovation of a municipal facility in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The words Jefferson County Courthouse Tuckpointing must be clearly marked on the sealed envelope alongside the County's address information. The Project consists of grinding out deteriorated mortar, cleaning mortar joints, tuckpointing, patching and/or replacing deteriorated stone and applying, at minimum, a 10 year stone sealer. The north and south stairs and all windows of the Courthouse will be included with sealant/ caulk removal and replacement Bids will be received for a prime Contractor on a lump sum basis. Contractors shall enter the south entrance and report to Kenny Kisner. The Contractor and Sub-Contractors shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages as found by the Dept. of Labor or as determined by the Court of Appeal, to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). Also, the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. ACCEPT ANCE-RE- JECTION: Jefferson County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, to waive any technicality in any Bid submitted, and to accept any part of a Bid as deemed to be in the best interests of Jefferson County.
