Project Scope - Preliminary engineering, an approved environmental document, and community engagement for a future construction project Up to close of business on Monday, October 24, 2022, a consultant may submit specific questions about the project in this Procurement Bulletin in e-mail to Angie Disponette, Purchasing Agent, City of Frankfort at adisponette@frankfort.ky.gov. Please direct all questions to Angie Disponette at adisponette@frankfort.ky.gov and not the Division of Professional Services. The purpose of this study is to identify and evaluate alternatives for improving the level of service and extending the service life of the historic Singing Bridge (US-60X) over the Kentucky River in downtown Frankfort. The existing Singing Bridge is a two-lane, 410-foot steel through truss with an open grate deck and concrete sidewalks on each side. The bridge currently has a 9 ton weight limit. It is located in the Downtown Frankfort Historic District. This study will help the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and the City of Frankfort make decisions concerning the future use and aesthetics of the Singing Bridge. Consultants should include a DBE Participation Plan with their Response to Announcement. An additional page will be allowed with the Project Approach (page 7) in the Response to Announcement to convey this plan. Notice to Proceed - See Note below. Note: The City of Frankfort is procuring these professional services prior to an executed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and the City of Frankfort. A Notice to Proceed will not be issued to the selected Consultant until the MOA is executed. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
