The City of Salida, Colorado is accepting proposals from qualified firms to create a master plan for the South Arkansas River Sub-Area (SARSA), which encompasses approximately 100 acres on the southern edge of the city. The RFP is intended to focus primarily on approximately 60 acres anticipated for development, including (but not limited to): a residential neighborhood, recreational field space/park amenities, and educational facilities. A variety of work products will be expected, including: conceptual site plan maps and renderings; analysis and design for the "backbone" of public infrastructure; market analyses; trail and road connection concepts; cost analyses/feasibility studies; financing and development options; and suggested amendments to the existing Planned Development plan for successful build-out.
