The City of Lancaster is seeking proposals from qualified professional Lead-based Paint/Asbestos/Mold Testing Contractors to provide safe housing inspection services for a new Housing program launching this year. The scope of work includes any and all work efforts related to lead-based paint, asbestos, and mold testing services as described below. This includes, but is not limited to, initial lead-based paint testing, written report of findings, and clearance reports, as required, for the City of Lancaster's First Time Homebuyer Program (FTHB). The lead-based paint inspection and risk assessment must be performed so as to satisfy requirements of U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)(1997), Title X of the Community and Development Act of 1992, and applicable federal, state and local requirements. Upon approval by the City Council, if necessary, the selected consultant will be awarded a one (1) year contract. The contract may be extended for additional terms upon mutual agreement in writing by both parties.
