Site work and paving for a road / highway in Bridgeville, Delaware. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The improvements consist of furnishing all labor and materials for operational improvements including turn lanes and other intersection modifications, median turn lanes for residential entrances, and bicycle and pedestrian facilities throughout the corridor. The project begins at the Plantation Road and the US 9 intersection and ends near the Plantation Road and Robinsonville Road intersection. The project includes realignment of the northern portion of Plantation Road, Beaver Dam Road, and US 9 intersection. Follow other incidental construction in accordance with the location, notes and details shown on the plans, and as directed by the Engineer. All work on this contract must be complete within 677 Calendar Days. Extensions of contract time due to weather are specified in the Standard Specifications Section 108.7F, weather days. It is estimated a Notice to Proceed is issued such that work starts on or about January 2, 2023. LOCATION: Sussex County PRE-BID MEETING: No Questions regarding this project are to be e-mailed to the above address no less than six business days prior to the bid opening date in order to receive a posted response. Please include the Contract number in the subject line. Questions and responses are posted at Electronically. The date of the final posted Questions and Answers document must be entered on the submitted Certification Form. Each proposal must be accompanied by a deposit of either surety bond or security for a sum equal to at least 10% of the amount bid. DelDOT to include a performance-based rating system for contractors. The Performance Rating for each Contractor shall be used as a prequalification to bid at the time of bid.
