The Township of Langley seeks expert consultation to assess the feasibility of Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) applications at two recreation centers. The study should assess replacing existing pool circulation pumps and other applicable pool feature pumps with new motors integrated with VFDs. As most of the existing pumps are reaching useful life, it is required to create a replacement strategy considering both financial and non-financial benefits. The consultant should be familiar with pool design and operation activities. The study should consider risks and challenges associated with suggested replacement strategies. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
