Renovation of an educational facility in Dundee, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Community Unit School District 300, Kane County, IL, will receive sealed bids from interested trade contractors for Dundee Middle School Renovations - Bid Release 1. This project includes the following trade packages: 02B-1 Asbestos Abatement, 06A-1 General Trades, 09D-1 Acoustical Ceiling, 21A-1 Fire Protection, 22A-1 Plumbing, 23A-1 HVAC, and 26A-1 Electrical. The proposed project involves replacing the existing all electric HVAC system with a geothermal HVAC system and the addition of natural gas. Other work will include asbestos abatement, doors and frames, ceiling replacement, addition of a fire protection sprinkler system, and landscape restoration. A Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of 10% of the bid is to accompany the proposal. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond and Certificate of Insurance within ten (10) days of the award of the contract. Payment of Prevailing Wages is required for this project. Revised rates will apply for the duration of the contract. This Project is Tax Exempt. The Board of Education of Community Unit School District 300 reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or waive any bid irregularities.
