This Item describes the Public Work Enforcement Fund (the Fund, PWEF) and its relevance to State agencies and public benefit corporations engaged in construction or reconstruction contracts, maintenance and repair, and announces the recently-enacted increase to the percentage of the dollar value of such contracts that must be deposited into the Fund. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check of the bidder payable to the town of huntington in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the total bid price. Checks or bid bonds will be returned to all except to the three lowest formal bidders within ten (10) days after the formal opening of bids The contractor shall procure and deliver to the owner, and maintain at his own expense and without expense to the owner, the following bonds.
