The work to be provided includes the relining of existing concrete sewer pipe and manholes, bypass pumping, excavations and pavement restoration in accordance with the Contract Documents and Plans. All bid items must be on a unit price or lump sum basis, with a total aggregate price of all unit items. Segregated bids will not be accepted. Awards will be made on the basis of the lowest evaluated or responsive bid price. Please note that no bids can be accepted via email or fax. Individuals requesting interpreter services for the hearing impaired must notify the Purchasing Division at 401-738-2013 at least 48 hours in advance of the bid opening date. However, the WSA will not be responsible for information that is not received, and it is the BIDDER'S responsibility to confirm the receipt of the questions. NO QUESTIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER October 20, 2022 at 10:00 AM. Bids received prior to the time of the opening will be securely kept, unopened. No responsibility will be attached to an officer or person for the premature opening of a bid not properly addressed and identified. No bids will be accepted via facsimile or email. The Purchasing Agent reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any minor deviations or informalities in the bids received, and to accept the bid deemed most favorable to the interest of the City Each bidder must deposit with his Bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders (10% of Bid). The bidder must agree to commence work on or before a date to be specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" by the Authority and to fully complete the project within 120 consecutive calendar days thereafter. No bidder may withdraw his Bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
