Awarded to Mattcon Construction $2,061,817 Indiana Math and Science Academy North Indiana Math & Science Academy North currently operates at 7435 N Keystone Ave B, Indianapolis, IN. 46240 and wants to complete the unfinished space on the 2 nd floor of their school building. New Plan Learning as the Developer is in the process of assisting the school in acquiring qualified proposals to perform the work at Indiana Math and Science Academy North. The general contractor awarded the project contract will be responsible for the site work which is minimal and limited to an outdoor patio area. The second floor will have new classrooms, a science lab, computer and robotics labs, bathrooms, offices, storage, and elevator. Additionally the new 2 nd floor will be heated and cooled with new RTU's as part of this project that the roof openings are already in place and capped. All Bids received at such place, date, and time will be opened and read aloud in public at the address listed above immediately after the posted time. All bids received after such time will not be considered and returned to the respective bidder unopened. Bid security shall be in the amount of 1% of the bidder's total contract price. Should a successful bidder within ten (10) days after written notice of acceptance of bid withdraw its bid, fail to provide the required payment and performance bonds, or execute a satisfactory contract, the Owner may then declare that bid security forfeited as liquidated damages, not as a penalty. Bidders must comply with applicable laws including but not limited to the requirements of Ind. Code 5- 16-6; 5-16-13; and 36-1-12; and as outlined in the bidding documents. Bidders must also be able to and meet requirements found in applicable public contract and public work project statutes. Prior to approval and execution of Owner's contract, a contractor who is the successful bidder for the Project shall furnish acceptable performance and payment bonds in the amount of the contract amount, which shall cover the faithful performance of the contract and the payment of obligations arising thereunder. Performance and payment bonds shall remain in full force and effect for a period of 1 year after Owner's acceptance of the work and Owner's final payment to the successful bidder. Owner expects to award a contract(s) for the Project to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder(s) at its November 12, 2022 board meeting. Owner reserves the right to hold bids, including any alternates, for up to 60 days from the date of the bid opening. Owner reserves in its sole discretion the right to delay the opening, cancel the solicitation, reject any and all bids, is not obligated to accept the lowest or any other bid, and may waive any irregularities, discrepancies, omissions, variances or informalities in the bidding procedure.
