Project Description: Replace twelve air handling units located in mechanical penthouses/basement air handling rooms including associated ductwork, louvers, filtration, vibration isolation, terminal heating units, exhaust fans, piping, valves and electrical at the La Salle County Governmental Complex, 707 E. Etna Road, Ottawa, IL 61350. a. Demolition of air handling units and related components. Provide site mounted air handling unit to be relocated for temporary service during phased replacement. b. Provide air handling units in mechanical penthouses/basement air handling rooms. c. Provide ductwork, louvers, filtration, vibration isolation, terminal heating units, exhaust fans, piping and valves as required for work. d. Miscellaneous electrical work for air handling system. e. Testing/balancing/chemical treatment related to components being installed. f. Other miscellaneous work as shown or required by the Construction Documents Contract Type: Single prime lump sum contract Bidder will be required to provide Bid Security in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond and Labor & Material Payment Bond in the full amount of the contract. Per latest prevailing wage ordinance adopted by La Salle County, the successful bidder shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). All contractors' bonds shall include a provision as will guarantee the faithful performance of such prevailing wage clause as provided by this bid specification or contract The successful bidder shall be required to comply with the Substance Abuse Prevention on Public Works Act (Public Act 95-0635).
