The work for which bids are to be received consists of: The work for which bids will be received includes the manned-- entry rehabilitation of approximately 650 linear feet of 72-inch reinforced concrete pipe. The manned-entry rehabilitation work will include heavy sewer cleaning, urethane and epoxy injection grouting through the pipe wall into the surrounding pipe bedding, as well as troweled on epoxy mastic for sealing pipe joints within the pipe. Additionally, the work will include rehabilitation of a manhole base. The work will also require bypass pumping of combined sewer flows on an as-- needed basis, as well as traffic control. Work shall also include all supervision, equipment, traffic control, granular backfill, pavement restoration (milling included), flushing, disinfecting, testing and all appurtenances necessary to complete the work shown in the Drawings and Specifications. All work must be ready for satisfactory and continuous operation, in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications. The above referenced project description includes items that are part of the Itemized Base Bid. The Contractor shall be responsible for all work shown on the plans and described in the specifications pertaining to the Itemized Base Bid, regardless of the installation method chosen. The Evansville Water and Sewer Utility further reserves the right to waive informalities, and to award the contract to the lowest and most responsible bidder (or bidders), all to the advantage of the Evansville Water and Sewer Utility, or to reject all Proposals.
