Site work and asbestos abatement for a fire / police facility in Fayetteville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a fire / police facility; for asbestos abatement for a fire / police facility; and 11,300-square-foot, two-story above grade fire / police facility.
Separate sealed bids are requested for the removal of asbestos containing ceiling texture and fl oor tile and mastic for the former vacant police building located at 312 Market Street West, Fayetteville, TN 37334. The scope of work for the project will consist of the removal and disposal of asbestos containing ceiling texture (to include existing lay-in ceiling tiles with metal grid and plaster lathe) and fl oor tile and mastic located throughout the facility. A 100% Payment & Performance Bond will be required for this project. Bid Contract Documents can be received by email by contacting EFI Global and registering to bid for the project. The building owner, Lincoln County Finance Department reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding whenever such rejection or waiver is in the interest of the Owner. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 45 days after opening of bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Bids are to be hand delivered or overnighted to the Lincoln County Finance Department, Lincoln County Business Offi ce, 206 East Davidson Street, Fayetteville, TN 37334. The bid opening will be Wednesday, October 26,2022 at 11:00 AM CST in the Lincoln County Finance Department, Lincoln County Business Offi ce, 206 East Davidson Street, Fayetteville, TN 37334. It shall be the responsibility of the contractor that bid arrives at the opening location. No bid will be received or accepted after the specifi ed time. All bidders must be licensed/accredited in the State of Tennessee for asbestos abatement and shall comply with all applicable State and local regulations. All bidders are required to comply with the General Licensing Act of 1976, also know as Tennessee House Bill No. 2180 and T.C.A. 62-6-119 of 1994. Removal and disposal, as specified herein of: a) Subject building is known as the Former Vacant Police Building located at 312 Market Street West, Fayetteville, Tennessee 37334. The building is an approximate 11,300 SF two (2) story, slab on grade office building with a gym located on the 2ND Floor. The date of construction is unknown but appears to be 1940's or 1950's construction. The building exterior is concrete block with a brick facade. Interior finishes consist of plaster, concrete and gypsum board walls with acoustic lay-in ceiling tile panels throughout. Flooring consists of vinyl floor tile and ceramic tile on slab. The roof is a flat roof. b) The following asbestos containing materials have been identified for removal and disposal in the building. Extent of material drawings showing removal locations are depicted in the Attachments. 1. 4,000 SF of ceiling texture material with associated plaster lathe and layin ceiling tile panels and metal grid located on the 1ST and 2ND Floors 2. 3,800 SF of white 12"x12" vinyl floor tile with mastic located throughout the 1ST Floor 3. Ceiling texture debris located in east and west stairwells 4. Tracked ceiling texture debris located in 2ND Floor gym The scope of work for the project will consist of the removal and disposal of asbestos containing ceiling texture (to include existing lay-in ceiling tiles with metal grid and plaster lathe) and floor tile and mastic located throughout the facility.
