Interested parties are requested to meet on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the Sacramento Maintenance Yard, 1450 Riverbank Road, West Sacramento, California 95605. Access to the meeting site is as follows: This project will apply a coating system to the Concrete Lab Building, located at the Sacramento Maintenance Yard. The project includes the following principal features: 1. Concrete Lab Building: a. Roof coating preparation including the repair of metal roof panels, restoration of metal panel joints, fasteners, and flashing; and cleaning. b. Apply a reflective aluminum roof coating system over exterior of corrugated galvanized steel building. c. Asbestos is present in the electrical panel roofing joint compound and equipment wrap, and within the attic space work areas. Refer to Appendix III - Asbestos and Lead Survey, Concrete Lab Building. Questions or requests for clarification of the drawings or specifications shall be made in writing no later than 5 days before the scheduled opening of bids. Response, if warranted, will be sent to all prospective bidders on the DWR Planholder's List. A Bid Form booklet will be furnished only to prequalified bidders who meet the requirements of the State Contract Act and Document 00040 - Prequalification. Bid forms for this work are included in a separate booklet titled BID FORM, available only from the Department. Bids will be considered only if submitted for all the work required for the above project. Contractor's license classification required for this work: C39 with ASB Certification or C22; B & C39 with ASB Certification or C22; or B with C39 subcontractor with ASB Certification or C22 . The Department encourages bidders to explore certification as a Small Business and/or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise and to utilize certified Small Business and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises during the contract term.
