The work under this project shall generally comprise but not necessarily be limited to provision of all labour, materials, and equipment for this waterfront development project. Work included under this project consists of concrete sidewalks curb and gutter, asphalt parking, topsoil and seeding, wooden boardwalk, a washroom building, three waterfront huts, revetements and removal of a concrete slipway. Each tender must be accompanied by a certified cheque in the amount of 10 % of the bid amount, or a Bid Bond in the amount of 10 % of the bid amount and a Consent of Surety for the required fifty percent (50%) Performance Bond and fifty percent (50%) Labour and Materials Bond. In lieu of bonding the Municipality will accept a certified cheque in the amount of 20% of the bid amount as project securities. The Municipality of the District of Guysborough reserves the right to reject any or all tenders, not necessarily accept the lowest tender, or to accept any tender which it may consider to be in the best interest of the Municipality. The Municipality also reserves the right to waive formality, informality, or technicality in any tender.
