Site work for a water / sewer project in Wintersville, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Sealed bids will be received by the Village of Wintersville, 200 Grove Street, Wintersville, Ohio 43953 until 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 for the Sanitary Sewer System Rehabilitation Project - Phase 6, as set forth in Bidding Documents on file and in the office of the Consulting Engineers. At said time and place, bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the following work: 8" sanitary pipe replacement, 8" sanitary CIPP lining, manhole rehabilitation and five pump station renovations. Bidding Documents can be seen at the Village of Wintersville 200 Grove Street, Wintersville, Ohio 43953, or at the office of the Civil Engineers, W. E. Quicksall and Associates, Inc., 554 West High Avenue, New Philadelphia, Ohio, 44663. Bidding Documents may be obtained at the office of W. E. Quicksall and Associates, Inc. upon payment of $150.00. Checks should be made payable to W. E. Quicksall and Associates, Inc. Bidding Documents are not returnable for a refund. The engineer will accept questions for this project until 4:00 pm on October 17, 2022 by submitting any questions in writing to mail@wequicksall.com or fax (330) 339-2227. Bidders who submit a Bid must be a Plan Holder of record at the Issuing Office. Bids from Bidders who are not on the Plan Holders List may be returned as not being responsive. Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in the bid packet, particularly to the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis-Bacon wages, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for 100% of the contract price. Bids shall be subject to the condition that the right is reserved to hold bids for a period not longer than 90 days after date of opening and/or to award at any time during the period. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to increase, to decrease or omit any item or items and/or to award to the lowest and responsible, responsive, bidder. The Owner also reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bid received The Contractor shall provide and install power and control wiring to all motors and electrical equipment complete and ready for operation including disconnect switches and fuses. Starters, relays, and accessories shall be furnished by the Contractor. Contractor shall install and wire starters, relays and accessories furnished by others. Contractor shall be responsible for checking the shop drawings of the equipment manufacturer to obtain the exact location and characteristics (voltage, phase, HP, amps, etc.) of the electrical rough-in and connections for equipment installed. b. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to check all motors for proper rotation. The Work will be substantially complete within 270 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 4.01 of the General Conditions, and completed ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within 300 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 10% of Bidders maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) if in the form of certified check or bank money order or for 100% of the bidders maximum bid price if in the form of a Bid bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraph 6.01 of the General Conditions. Such Bid bond will be issued in the form included in the Bidding Documents.
