Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Darlington, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

SCOPE OF WORK The County of Darlington is seeking proposals from qualified firms to rehabilitate the Hwy 34 Cashua Ferry Boat Landing, located on the Great Pee Dee River just inside Darlington County at the Marlboro/Darlington County line. The County of Darlington is requesting firms to do full-depth patching of holes in the pavement and a 2 asphalt overlay of 7,573 sq. yards of parking and drive area. The County is also looking to replace approximately 618 linear feet of wooden guard rails. To ensure acceptance of the bid, the Bid number (RFP# 13-02-09-2024) should be clearly shown on the lower left corner of the return envelope The contractor shall furnish a 5% bid bond for bids greater than or equal to $100,000. The contractor that the County intends to award shall supply a separate performance and payment bond. The bonds furnished by the contractor shall be in a form suitable for the County and shall be executed by the surety or sureties reasonably acceptable to the County. Within fifteen (15) calendar days after the intent to award, the following bonds or security shall be delivered to the County and shall become binding on the parties upon the execution of the contract: A performance bond satisfactory to the County, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in South Carolina with a Bests Key Rating of Level A or better and in a financial size of Class VII or higher, or otherwise secured in a manner satisfactory to the County, for the faithful performance of the contract in strict conformity with the plans, specifications and conditions of the contract. The bond shall be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the price specified in the contract. A payment bond satisfactory to the County, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in South Carolina with a Bests Key Rating of Level A or better and in a financial size of Class VII or higher, or otherwise secured in a manner satisfactory to the County, for the protection of all persons supplying labor and material to the contractor or its subcontractors for the performance of the work provided for in the contract. Labor and materials shall include public utility services and reasonable rentals of equipment, but only for the periods when the equipment rented is used at the site. The bond shall be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the price specified in the contract. The contractor shall obtain all applicable licenses, and promptly pay all taxes required by the State of South Carolina, and/or Darlington County.
