Renovation of a mixed-use development in Whitehall, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Proposals should be marked "Whitehall Dishwasher Project" and sent to the address below and to the attention of: Steve Aardema, Director of Finance & Technology The district is installing or moving dishwashers in its food service operation at three sites. Each site has a different situation and bids for the washers at each site and for the carts will all be considered separately. A multi-bid discount will be considered. All work must be done according to various applicable codes including but not limited to state, county and local agencies for safety, electrical, mechanical (plumbing/hot water/disposal), health (food service), etc. The dishwashers will likely need a heat booster or use chemical wash due to water temperatures in the school setting. We do not anticipate any building structural work (demo, move, add walls, etc.), just working within the existing spaces. All equipment (racks, shelves, etc.) must be stainless steel. Our serving trays are 15" x 9" and all equipment must be able to handle that size. The project is considered to be federally funded (School Lunch Program) and is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act, otherwise known as "Prevailing Wages". The District is responsible for getting approval from the Michigan Department of Education.
