City of Princeton -- Invitation for Bid Demolition of Retired Water Plant The City of Princeton seeks bids for the demolition of a retired water plant located at 20 East Putnam St., Princeton, Illinois. The majority of the structure is constructed of brick and concrete. Prevailing Wage Rates will apply to this project. Bidder must supply proof of insurance with the bid. Scope of work as follows: A) Demolish retired Water Plant structure and remove all material to a minimum of 4' below grade. B) Demolish the Lime Pit on the east side of Vernon St. and remove all material to a minimum of 4' below grade. C) Demolish round water tank foundations on the east side of Vernon St. and remove all material to a minimum of 4' below grade. D) Demolish blue Lime Silo south of water plant and remove all material to a minimum of 4' below grade. E) Return east side of Vernon St. location back to match surrounding grade with a minimum of 6' of black dirt. F) Compaction of fill at water plant site needs to be minimum of 95% for future building. G) Remove and haul the non-hazardous Filter Media to the landfill for disposal.
