**As of February 3, 2023, project was awarded to Thassian Mechanical but awarded amount is not available.** Sealed proposals in duplicate are sought and requested by the Monmouth County Vocational School District Board of Education, (Hereinafter Called "Owner"), for the Construction of: 1. Culinary Ed. Center Hvac Equipment Replacement Work - (Base Bid) a. 101 Drury Ln, Asbury Park, Nj 07712 2. Hazlet Voc. Ed. Bldg. Boiler Replacement Work (Alternate Bid) a. 417 Middle Rd, Hazlet, NJ 07730 A Lump Sum Bid is requested for: General Construction Work - (Including the following Prime Subcontractors: Structural Steel and Ornamental Iron Work, Heating and Ventilating Systems and Equipment Work, Electrical Work, and Plumbing and Gas Fitting Work as applicable. Secondary Subcontractors are noted below or as required for each project scope defined by the project documents.) Bid Qualification Categories: Bidders and subcontractors for each of the major branches of work specified in N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-18 must be prequalified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC), as set forth in to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-27.1, et seq. Bidders shall submit a Certificate of Prequalification/Classification from the DPMC and Affidavit as to the Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts for the bidder and all major subcontractors. PROJECTS: CULINARY ED. CENTER HVAC EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT WORK - (BASE BID) HAZLET VOC. ED. BLDG. BOILER REPLACEMENT WORK (ALT. BID) Prime C008 GENERAL CONSTRUCTION and/or C009 GENERAL CONSTRUCTION / ALTERATIONS AND ADDITIONS Subcontractor C066 EPDM Roofing Subcontractor C029 STRUCTURAL STEEL & ORNAMENTAL IRON Subcontractor C032 HVACR Subcontractor C047 ELECTRICAL Subcontractor C030 PLUMBING Provide other subcontractors as required for the scope of work. In accordance with Drawings, Project Manual, and other Bidding and Contract Documents have been prepared by: Paulus, Sokolowski and Sartor Architecture & Engineering, P.C. 3 Mountainview Road P. O. Box 4039 Warren, New Jersey 07059 Partial sets or sections of the Contract Documents for use by subcontractors are not available. Bidders are required to obtain a full set of bidding documents. Bids, utilizing the bid forms as prepared by the Architect, may be submitted in person, by mail or delivery service prior to that time. Any bid submitted by mail or delivery service is done so at the sole risk of the bidder. No Bids will be received by facsimile or electronic transmission. It is expressly understood that the bidder is responsible for getting the bid proposals to the Business Administrator prior to the time and date set for the bid opening. Any bid received after the closing time will be returned unopened. In order to be considered, bids must be sealed, and outer envelope clearly marked: CULINARY ED. CENTER HVAC EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT WORK - (BASE BID) HAZLET VOC. ED. BLDG. BOILER REPLACEMENT WORK (ALT. BID) Additional Information: 1. No modifications to the enclosed Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions, Supplemental Conditions or Specifications will be permitted prior to bid acceptance except as may be allowed by amendment as outlined in the Specifications. Bids that propose modifications or substitutions to the requirements shall result in rejection of the bid as being non-responsive. 2. The Bidder's attention is directed to the fact that all applicable federal, state, and municipal laws, and ordinances, rules and regulations, including P.L. 1975, c.127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27) of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction work in the locality of the project shall apply to the contract throughout, and they will be deemed to be included in the contract the same as though herein written out in full, including, but not limited to, those laws identified in the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS including the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:2-1 et seq., N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq., and compliance with the mandatory affirmative action regulations. Bidders and all major subcontractors are required to comply with the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, Chapter 238, Public Laws of 1999 (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq.) and to possess current certification from the Division of Wage and Hour Compliance in the Department of Labor and Workforce Development at the time the bid is submitted. Bidders are also required to submit a Business Registration Certificate issued by the Division of Revenue in the New Jersey Department of Treasury. All Bidders are required to submit an affidavit by the Bidder that the Bidder is not, at the time of the bid, included on the New Jersey State Treasurer's List or the Federal Government List of Debarred, Suspended or Disqualified Firms or individuals pursuant to N.J.A.C. 17:19-4 and N.J.A.C. 19:38A-4. All Bidders are required to complete and submit a Disclosure of Investment Activities in Iran Form in accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:32-58 and N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-49.4. 3. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of (1) a bid bond or certified or cashier's check payable to Monmouth County Vocational School District Board of Education equal to 10% of the amount of the bid, but in no case to exceed $20,000.00 as per N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-24 and (2) Certificate of Consent of Surety as required in the "Instructions to Bidders" and per N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25. The successful bidder will be required to furnish additional bonds as specified in "Instructions to Bidders." 4. Bids will be considered in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1 et seq. and N.J.S.A. 18A:7G-1 et seq. The Monmouth County Vocational School District Board of Education reserves the right to reject all bids, to waive any immaterial defects in any bid, or to award a contract in whole or in part, in accordance with the requirements of the Public-School Contracts Law at N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1 et seq.
