The City of Springfield is issuing this Invitation for Bids to all interested contractors for the provision of labor and materials necessary to furnish and install a new timber frame pavilion at the Forest Park Picnic Grove on cement concrete slab (across from Rose Garden), with installation of accessible stone dust walkway, and owner-furnished site furnishings. The City hereby requests competitive sealed bids in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149. All questions must be submitted in writing and received no later than October 20, 2022 to hbutton@springfieldcityhall.com by 4:00 P.M. EST in order to be considered. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. The Deputy Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so. Project Location: Along Main Greeting Road in Forest Park located north of the Forest Park Zoo and rose garden. The work consists of: 1. Installation, maintenance and repair of erosion controls. 2. Selective demolition and site preparation. 2. Earthwork. 3. Cast-in-Place Concrete work. 4. Construction of 16'x24' timber frame pavilion and stone dust walkways. 5. Installation of owner-furnished picnic tables on Contractor-installed concrete slabs. 6. Restoration of disturbed areas, including seeded lawn areas. 7.
