Renovation of a laboratory facility in Houston, Texas. Working plans call for the renovation of a 2,000-square-foot laboratory facility.

The Houston Community College, ("HCC" and/or the "College") is seeking competitive sealed bids from qualified firms for the purchase of a general contractors for the Cosmetology Lab Buildout at HCC's Alief Bissonnet Campus, in accordance with the plans and specifications referenced herein. The Contractor shall furnish all material, labor, tools, supplies, permits, equipment, insurance, bonds, transportation, superintendence, barricades, temporary protection, temporary construction of every nature, taxes and all services and facilities, install all materials, items, and equipment required to complete the construction of the Cosmetology Lab Buildout at HCC's Alief Bissonnet Campus, as a complete project. The project consists of the renovation of approximately 2,000 square feet for the Cosmetology lab classroom. The award resulting from this solicitation, if any, will be a one (1) time purchase as required for the term of the project in accordance with the project schedule and through the successful completion of the project. The Procurement Officer, Mr. Art Lopez, is responsible for managing the solicitation process, in coordination with the Project Manager, Ms. Claudia Autry, who will manage this project and will lead the site visits. The successful Contractor(s) shall be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond in the total amount (100%) of the Contract. If the award is in excess of $25,000.00, only the Payment Bond will only be required. If award is in excess of $100,000.00, both Performance and Payment Bonds are required. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
