Liberty Hill Road The purpose of this project is to asphalt excavation, patching and repair along various parts of liberty hill road. Key components of this project include: The area under consideration for pavement repair comprises 36,036 square feet of deteriorated pavement. There exist approximately 10 areas of repair located throughout the area. All repairs will need to be shaped symmetrically where possible. Bidders will mill to a depth as needed to completely remove all asphalt in the areas to be repaired. All debris will be removed from the site. Bidders will furnish and install 6 inches of graded aggregate base and compact with a vibratory roller. Bidders will fine grade the new aggregate base and prep for asphalt paving. Bidders will compact base and then install 2 inches of compacted thickness base asphalt and compact. Bidders will install 2 inches compacted thickness surface asphalt. This will bring the total thickness of asphalt paving to 4inches. Bidders will need to include Striping over the areas fixed. Bidders will ensure all areas will be barricaded during and after the repair process. Bidders will need to provide Traffic Control: Provide directional boards as needed on each end of the repair during construction. In the event a section of road is not paved by the end of the day bidders will install stone base to finish grade overnight with traffic barrels and directional boards as needed to try to make the site as safe as possible. During the day bidders will have two flagmen at each end of the repair to direct vehicles as they pass the construction area Bids must be prepared and submitted and must be typed or printed and then signed in ink. All bids received by the deadline shall be opened and reviewed by the Board of Commissioners at the BOC work session. All bids must include all requested work items, conform to the project standards/specifications and be responsive, accurate, and cost reasonable. Unified Government of Cusseta Chattahoochee County will select the contractor to perform all work required and the contract will be executed between Unified Government of Cusseta Chattahoochee County and the winning contractor. You are reminded to bid only on those items designated on the work write up form. In the event the owner should request additional work or deletion of any work from the write-up, or should you feel additional work is required, those items, along with costs, shall be listed on a separate piece of paper or letterhead stationery. All additional items will be considered separately from the base bid and consideration of any changes will be negotiated with the owner after the bid opening.
Unified Government of Cusseta Chattahoochee County has the right to reject any and all bids at their sole discretion. You are reminded that your bid should be inclusive of all taxes, fees, permits and all other costs. Upon selection of the winning contractor, Unified Government of Cusseta Chattahoochee County will send a bid award notice to the selected contractor. The bid award notice will advise the selected contractor of the date, time, and location of the pre-work conference that must take place before any work can begin. Upon satisfactory completion of the pre-work conference, Unified Government of Cusseta Chattahoochee County will issue a "Notice to Proceed," which must be executed by the selected contractor as well.
