The revised Engineer’s Estimate based on changes noted in Addendums to date is: Bid Schedule 1- $3.6 million Bid Schedule 2- $370,000 This project consists of sewer improvements to twenty-nine (29) segments of the city sewer system in 7 different streets. There is approximately 3,810 lineal feet of sewer main to be repaired with approximately 40 manhole replacements/modifications and approximately 51 service lateral reconnections to the main line sewer. The existing pipes are 8-inch, 15-inch, and 18-inch VCP. The sewer repairs consist of severalsegments of removal of the existing sewer pipe and replaced with the same size VCP and PVC SDR-35 sewer pipe, spot repair of short segments of removal of the existing sewer pipe and replaced with the same size VCP and PVC SDR-35 sewer pipe and then lined with Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) lining. As pipe is being replaced and/or lined, each active sewer service lateral is to be fully reconnected to the new sewer line. The finished work product is then to be inspected by CCTV inspection method and recorded for review and reference use. Locations: South China Lake Boulevard from Argus Avenue to California Avenue, California Avenue from South China Lake Boulevard to Richmond Road, South Mahan Street from Perch Avenue to 350-feet north, South Mahan Street from Dolphin Avenue to 340-feet north, Wildrose Avenue between South Sierra Street and South Allen Street, Cisco Street between Nadeau Street and Sanders Street Shamrock Avenue between S. Wesley Street and Lacey Street. COMPLETION OF WORK: All work must be completed within one hundred and sixty (160) working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: Liquidated damages of five hundred dollars ($500.00) per working day, as specified in the Special Conditions,shall be paid by the contractor to the City of Ridgecrest for each working day in excess of the time limit stated above that the project is not complete. Upon written request for the electronic bid documents, Willdan Engineering will add the contractor to the Registered Plan Holders List. Only registered plan holders will be permitted to submit a bid for the project. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price payable to the City of Ridgecrest as a guarantee that the bidder, if its bid is accepted, will promptly execute the contract. The bidder shall guarantee the total bid price for a period of sixty (60) calendar days from the date of bid opening. The project will require the prime contractor to be in possession of a valid, appropriate State of California Contractor's License. No bid will be accepted from a contractor who is not duly licensed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9, Division III of the Business and Professions Code. Bids will only be accepted from contractors holding a General Engineering Class A or Pipeline Contractor C34. This work is subject to prevailing wage requirements and to monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The bidder and any subcontractorsshall be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations as a Public Works Contractor at the time of bidding and during the performance of the contract. The City of Ridgecrest reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in a bid and to make awards to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder as it may best serve the interest of the owner.
