Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Cary, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

The Town of Cary is seeking one or more qualified firm(s) with professional design and administration services to contract the new Cary Tennis Park Masterplan and Clubhouse Improvements project. In Fall 2021, Town Council approved funding to complete a study for the tennis park clubhouse project. Staff worked with a consultant team to define programmatic needs for the clubhouse and the tennis park campus. Several options were considered; however, the removal and replacement of the existing clubhouse and defining future use of the 8.5 acres was identified to be the top option. The study concluded with schematic floor plans, elevations, and budgetary estimates that expands the existing two-story clubhouse. The conceptual masterplan completed in 2013 was discussed during the study which expands tennis park courts, parking, and other amenities onto the additional 8.5 acres site. The selected firm will first need to finalize a tennis park masterplan which will include the clubhouse, site, and utility improvements for the tennis park campus. Secondly, the Clubhouse Improvement project will consist of demolishing the existing twostory clubhouse and building a new three-story clubhouse in the original location. The top level will include offices and multi-use spaces that can be utilized during tournament events and daily operations. The main level will include public entry, pro-shop, and potential NC Tennis Hall of Fame. The lower level will include player locker rooms, lounge area, and space for building utilities. In addition to the clubhouse, a separate public restroom/storage building will be phased for construction first to temporarily facilitate operations and provide restrooms during demolition and construction of the clubhouse. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
