Notice is hereby given that the City of Galveston, Texas is requesting submittal of qualification statements from professional engineering and planning firms interested in performing certified planning and professional engineering services at the Scholes International Airport, Galveston, Texas for the project period of approximately 3-5 years. The project description: Runway Safety Area Improvements for Runway 14; Reconfigure and construction of new Taxiway E access points to Runway 18; Taxiway E relocation, reconstruction and decommission of existing Taxiway E; Rehabilitate Taxiways A, B, C, and D; Airfield drainage improvements; and General aviation ramp reconstruction, to include project administrative procedures and any additional projects that may be funded within the timeframe of the professional services contract. Project implementation is totally dependent upon FAA and TxDOT Aviation funding. The criteria and weighting factors to be used by the Sponsor in evaluating responses will be as follows: Recent experience of the project team with comparable airport projects within the past ten years.
