The City of Charlevoix will receive sealed bids to provide all labor, material, tools, and equipment necessary for the preparation, priming, and painting of two (2) Delta-Star Transformers. The transformers are located at the Westenbroek Substation, 100 Stover Road, Charlevoix, Mi, 49720. The transformers will be individually de-energized during painting, but in proximity to energized substation equipment. The City of Charlevoix will work with the successful bidder to ensure there is NO downtime in the project while switching between transformers. The work must be completed between the dates of April 1 and October 31, 2023. This excludes major holidays and weekends. Bidders shall include resumes of the field technicians and a list of references with their proposals. Bids must be submitted on a not-to-exceed price basis using the attached Bid Form. All sales, consumer, use and other similar taxes required by law to be paid by the Bidder shall be included in the bid price.The City of Charlevoix reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, waive technicalities, and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Charlevoix.
