Renovation of a water / sewer project in Aurora, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

For the following item(s): FABRICATION OF MECHANICAL SCREEN AND SCREW COMPACTOR WITH WASH MODULE The City of Aurora Ohio operates the Westerly Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) at 1230 W. Garfield Road, Aurora, OH 44202. The WWTP has one mechanical screen with a screening s compactor. The city seeks to enter into contract for the fabrication of a new mechanical fine screen with compactor and washer with a transfer screw to replace the existing screen. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier s check, an irrevocable letter of credit in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, or digital or paper bid bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount bid, signed by a Surety Company authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio. Such check or bid bond shall be made payable to the City of Aurora, Ohio and will be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted and a contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract will be duly executed and its performance properly secured. If not providing a digital bid bond, wet-ink original bid bonds, checks, or letters of credit must be delivered to the Office of the Director of Public Service, Aurora Service Department, 158 W. Pioneer Trail, Aurora, Ohio, by the bid opening date and time. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Construction Performance and Payment Bonds for the Contract in sums not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total price bid for the complete work, said bonds to be that of an approved surety company authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio and shall be underwritten by a surety that is listed on the most current Department of the Treasury Circular 570, "Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds." In the case of disruption of national communications or loss of services by portal within two hours prior to the deadline for submission of bids, the city will delay the deadline for bid submissions to ensure the ability of potential bidders to submit bids. If this occurs, instructions will be communicated to potential bidders. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and accept any bid which it deems most favorable to the City.
