Renovation of a municipal facility in Fort Nelson, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 498,692-square-foot municipal facility.
Despite being the Municipality's administrative hub and home to Council Chambers, the Municipal Office as a whole is not wheelchair accessible, with many aspects of the building not meeting current BC Building Code standards. The project includes a complete replacement of the HVAC and Power and Lighting systems servicing the Town Square complex. In addition to the Municipality's administrative offices, the Town Square Complex includes other tenants such as the Phoenix Theatre, the Fort Nelson Library, Service BC, Northern Health Clubhouse and Fort Nelson Playschool. The work includes some functional improvements of the NRRM's administrative offices as well as minor renovations being under discussion with the other tenants.
