The proposed Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center (RRUMC) Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories Upgrade project would include (1) replacement and installation of new Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories Equipment and (2) renovation of required support spaces. The project would convert the existing Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory#1, Room 2418, into two Cath Labs (#1A & #1B) and upgrade Cath Lab #2, Room 2422; Cath Lab #4, Room 2430; Cath Lab#5, Room 2434; and Cath Lab #6, Room 2444. The project is approximately 7,200 SF within the Department of Interventional Cardiology department on the 2nd floor of UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center (RRUMC). The Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center (SMUMC) upgrade of Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories and Interventional Radiology project would include (1) replacement and installation of new Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories and Interventional Radiology Equipment and (2) renovation of required support spaces. The project is approximately 2,800 SF on the 3rd floor of Merle Norman Pavilion at Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center. Responses to this RFQ should demonstrate experience in Radiology and Healthcare related projects with the design and planning of hospital utilities. Project experience must demonstrate familiarity with the California Department of Health Care Access and Information HCAI - OSHPD 1, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Department of Public Health requirements (Title 22), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The University has not determined a delivery method for this project but may include either Construction Management at-Risk (CMAR) or Design/Bid/Build. The construction cost for the project has not yet been determined and will be defined by each incremental project's scope of work and phasing requirements. Over time, the entire scope of work may be executed through several phased separate incremental projects. The anticipated project cost range may be between approximately $3-$4M per incremental project, with an expected total cost for the entire scope of work being between $30-$36M.The design shall comply with the University of California Policy on Sustainable Practices to achieve a minimum USGBC LEEDTM "Silver" certification. UCLA may select one or more Executive Architects (s) for the abovementioned projects. UCLA will choose the architect(s) based on qualifications in response to this RFQ. Executive Architects responding to this RFQ will be submitting for all projects. UCLA retains the right to assign the selected architect(s) to the project UCLA requires and may appoint one or more architects to RRUMC Cath #1 and SMUMC IRs 3409, 3411, and Cath Lab at the date of selection. UCLA also retains the right to assign Ronald Reagan Cath Labs #2, #4, #5, and #6 at a later date to one of the selected architects. Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within limits imposed by law or University policy. Each Candidate Firm may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
