Partial concrete sidewalk replacement (per plan, but approx. 1,400 S.F.) Tree removal and tree trimming Asphalt milling and paving (per plan, but approx. 7,000 S.F.) Demolition of select site features (clock, light, miscellaneous fixtures) Removal of displaced stones from perimeter site retaining wall Stone wall removal and regrading at one (1) location Installation of new stair handrails Repair of metal fencing along top of stone wall Installation of chain-link safety fence around building (Alternate) Installation of temporary stabilization for roof balusters and new guardrail at front stair landing (Alternate) Special attention called to: There is a responsible contractor requirement that includes a demonstratable Class A Apprenticeship Program for the General Contractor and all subcontractors. Each General Contractor must submit the Contractor Responsibility Certification a minimum of five (5) business days before the specified bid submission deadline, to receive permission to submit a bid. The General Contractor must also include a list of qualified subcontractors along with its Contractor Responsibility Certification to be submitted no later than five (5) business days before the specified bid submission deadline, and has the option to include the required Subcontractor Responsibility Certifications at that time or submit the required Subcontractor Responsibility Certifications upon receiving of a Notice of Award. This project will require payment of Pennsylvania prevailing wages. A 10% Bid Bond, a Labor and Materials Payment Bond and a Performance Bond are required. There is a requirement that all craft labor have completed a 10-hour OSHA training course. There is a strong desire to include contractors based in Delaware County. It is the intention of the DCIDA to Award the Contract no later than (15) business days. All bids submitted must remain valid for 150 days following submission. Award of Contract will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but DCIDA reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities.
