Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Orrville, Alabama. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

The scope of work includes full architectural and/or engineering services for various projects at Old Cahawba Archaeological Park. The projects will vary in size, complexity, and duration. The work may include but is not limited to restoration and repair of Barker Slave Quarters and the Schoolhouse. Overall estimated construction budget is $450,000.00. The term of the agreement will be for two (2) years with an option to renew for two (2) additional years. Applicants seeking to provide services for the project must demonstrate experience with preservation, rehabilitation, restoration, and reconstruction of historic buildings in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Treatment of Historic Properties; experience conducting condition surveys of historic buildings; experience with full project management from project inception through completion of construction; experience working at historic sites that are interpreted and open to the public; and knowledge of and experience with the Alabama Division of Construction Management (DCM's) procedures and forms for design and construction projects. Applicants and consultants shall hold current professional licenses and be registered in the State of Alabama. Applicants will be selected on the basis of experience and qualifications of the firm and consultants; professional experience with projects of similar complexity and scope; experience and range of services provided by proposed team; ability to meet the needs of the client; and the capability and ability to perform the work in a timely manner. Points will be assigned for the above qualifications. Minority Business Enterprise and Woman Business Enterprise Firms participation and collaboration are encouraged. All applicable State of Alabama Division of Construction Management procedures, as well as any other applicable requirements from funding sources shall be utilized on this project.
