Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Freehold, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility; for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

Work shall consist of including but not limited to the following: all structural and façade repairs including demolition of the existing façade, installation of temporary shoring and the new steel column, concrete foundation, concrete slabs, thin brick veneer, vinyl siding and trim; garage door, operator and framing replacement, man door replacement, window replacement, new canopy roof and bracket installation, lighting and receptacles beneath the canopy only, new parapet cap and flashing, new bollards, gooseneck lighting and electric work for building mounted sign (sign not included), masonry work to close up the toilet window, reinstallation of all building mounted plaques and buttons, together with miscellaneous related work items. The Contractor shall provide for the safety of the public; property; and workmen; provide for the maintenance of traffic and utilities; protect public or private property; handle all surface and ground water; guard the site; furnish; unload, haul, locate and relocate conflicting utilities including cables, conduits, ducts, pipe appurtenances and accessories; replace or repair all damaged drains, sewers, utilities, or other structures; embed the pipe; install services and appurtenances; remove surplus excavated material and clean the site of all debris; and restore the pavements and other improved surfaces. Bids must be made on the standard proposal form in a manner designated therein and required by the specifications. Bids must be accompanied by a certificate from a surety company stating that it will provide the specified performance and maintenance bonds in the event that the contract is awarded to the bidder. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond or bid bond for ten percent of the amount of the bid, not to exceed $20,000, drawn upon an incorporated bank or trust company, payable to the Borough of Farmingdale, as guarantee that in case the contract is awarded the bidder, he will, within ten days thereafter execute such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond. Upon failure to do so, he shall forfeit the deposit as a partial satisfaction of liquidated damages and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon fulfillment of this requirement by the bidder. The checks of all bidders will be returned according to law. No interest shall be allowed upon any such check. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c,127., N.J.A.C. 17:27.(Affirmative Action) & P.L. 1977, C.33 (Ownership Disclosure) The Contract shall be awarded, or all bids rejected, within sixty days from the receipt of bids or within such extensions of time as permitted by law. The Mayor and Council reserve the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive informality of any bid.
