The Georgetown Cemetery Maintenance District is accepting bids for the 2023 and the 2024 mowing seasons. The person (or persons) will be responsible for the following duties: 1) Mowing approximately 17 acres of grass, which includes the Columbarium area across E. West Street, and along the west side of the cemetery roadway, each week. 2) Weed eating around all stones and the rest of the property, once amonth, including Columbarium. 3) Have property mowed and weed eating within 4 days prior to the following holidays: Mothers Day Memorial Day Fathers Day 4) Furnish your own equipment, gas, oil and equipment maintenance 5) Air-blow clippings from all hard surfaces (roads, sidewalks) 6) Remove fallen tree limbs as necessary 7) Mowing will be done after 11:00a.m. 8) Remove trash from grounds at time of mowing and report all abnormal conditions to cemetery contact. 9) Quote cost of additional weed eating, if requested Bids must be received in writing nolater than NOON October 25, 2022. If your bid is accepted, you must furnish proof of insurance coverage and workers compensation insurance, if applicable. Questions: Contact Jeff at 217-304-1404.
