collection and disposition of garbage, rubbish, garden refuse, ashes and all recyclables for said district for a two year period commencing January 1, 2023 Bidders will be required to deposit with the Commissioners, as security for faithful performance of such contract, a certified check in the sum equivalent to ten percent (10%) of the total bid price thereof. Such checks will be returned to unsuccessful bidders within five days after completion of bid review. A performance bond of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract will be required of the successful bidder at the time of execution of the contract. The Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all bids if the evidence submitted in the qualifications statements or, by the investigation of the bidders are properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract and to complete the work contemplated therein and further, the Commissioners, reserve the right to reject any and all bids and to accept the bid which they deem most favorable to the interest of the district after all bids have been examined and checked. The contractor shall furnish and maintain Workmen's Compensation, public liability and property damage insurance for each year 2023-2024 naming the contractor, the Town of North Hempstead and the Commissioners of the Roslyn Garbage District as insured in the amount of Two Million Dollars (2,000,000.00). Bid price should be a lump sum for a two-year period beginning January 1, 2023 and ending December 31st. 2024, payable monthly. Conditional bids will not be accepted. Bids will not be accepted if not submitted on original proposal of Roslyn Garbage District.
