Renovation of a mixed-use development in Daly City, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and theater / auditorium.
Landmark Construction is requesting SUBCONTRACT BIDS for the Jefferson Union HSD for the New Adult Education & District Office Lease-Leaseback Project Re-bid of the Theatrical Audio Video Systems ONLY. All other trades have already been selected. The scope of this project includes a new two-level 38,000 sq ft Adult Education Classroom Building with standard and large classrooms, breakout spaces, administration spaces, multipurpose room and associated support spaces. A new two-level, 30,000 sq ft District Office with new facilities for Tech/IT, HR, general support services, new training facilities and a boardroom. Refer to the bid documents for the complete scope and requirements. This project is underway with completion early 2024. This project does not have a PLA or OCIP in place. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contractors must prequalify with the District in accordance with their requirements. Completed prequalification must be submitted to the District. This project requires the use of a skilled and trained workforce under Education Code section 17407.5 and Public Contract Code section 2601. Education Code Section 17407.5 requires the use of a skilled and trained workforce, as defined by Public Contract Code section 2601, by subcontractors at every tier, to perform work which falls within an apprenticeable occupation in the building and construction trades. Labor Code Section 1725.5 requires all contractors and subcontractors intending to bid or perform work on public works projects to annually register and pay a fee to the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) for purposes of monitoring and enforcing compliance with the State's prevailing wage law. All contractors and subcontractors submitting bids on public works projects must be registered. Landmark encourages the participation of local and DVBE businesses. DVBEs are encouraged to provide proposals. Landmark is willing to break down work items into economically feasible units to facilitate DVBE participation.
