The Town of Hampton, acting through its Town Manager for the Hampton Department of Public Works, in accordance with the provisions of New Hampshire Revised Statutes Annotated Chapter 37, Section 6 and the provisions of the Town of Hampton Purchasing Policy and Purchasing Procedures Chapter 718 of the Hampton Code of Ordinances requests sealed bid proposals from qualified Contractors for a one-year contract for the Crushing, Screening, Processing, Stockpiling, and removal of Earth Materials, which includes earthen and other non-organic materials from the Transfer Station located at 11 Hardardt's Way, Hampton, NH. All inquiries regarding the Invitation to Bid document, bid procedure, and any technical aspect may be directed to James Hafey, Transfer Station Foreman at (603) 929-5930 weekdays between the hours of 7:00 am and 3:30 pm, or by e-mail jhafey@hamptonnh.gov. The work is associated with the Crushing, Screening, Processing, Stockpiling and removal of Earth Materials from the Transfer Station which shall be performed during calendar year 2023. For the purpose of this bid and contract, the phrase "Crushing, Screening and Processing" shall mean: Reprocessed material consisting of crushed concrete, reclaimed asphalt, crushed stone, crushed gravel, or other construction materials that, after processing are thoroughly mixed and blended. Blended material consists of a homogenous blend of these materials that are thoroughly mixed to a generally uniform consistency. The Town maintains that the final processed material has value, and as such, the Bid Form requires the Bidder to consider the amount that they propose to pay to the Town as part of the contract compensation. All detritus material (biproduct, waste, litter, spoil, tailings (or such)) shall be disposed of at locations designated by the Town's Transfer Station Foreman. The Contractor shall not be responsible for hauling waste materials from the property.
