For 2023 Life Safety Project II at Multiple School District Sites Lump Sum bid proposals will be received for this project at the scheduled time of receipt of bids and will be publicly opened and read aloud at the above stated time and place. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check or Bank Draft in the amount equal to and not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid and may be payable to the Board of Education, Cook County School District 130, Blue Island, Illinois. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening without the consent of the Owner. Attendance shall be taken at the sites to ensure that all Contractors have visited the sites. Non-attendance can be grounds for rejection of bid. Subcontractors are encouraged, but not required to attend. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or Parts thereof, or waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding. All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing wages by all contractors working on public works. QUALIFICATION: Each bidder must satisfactorily complete the qualification process described in Section 01000-General Requirements of the Project Manual, by providing the required Qualification Documents. The required Qualification Documents must be delivered along with the Bidder's sealed bid at the same time and place required for the bid. Contents of each Biddes Qualification Documents will be available for public review. The Qualification Documents will be reviewed by the Owner and Architect to determine the lowest responsible Bidder. All bidders must obtain a set of plans and specifications in order to submit a bid in the name of the entity submitting the bid.
