City of Independence (COI) is seeking bids from experienced traffic signal contractors for manpower, materials, tools and equipment necessary for construction and installation traffic signal structure and concrete base to include (poles, mast arms and signal heads) at the NW corner of 39th & Private Drive (Bolger Square). Supply & Install New 40' Mast Arm Assembly Supply & Install New 8' Pedestrian Pole assembly Supply & Install 1 - 4 Section Signal Heads Supply & Install 3 - 3 Section Signal Heads Supply & Install 1 - One Section Ped Head on Pedestrian pole Supply & Install 1 - Ped Pushbuttons on Pedestrian pole Supply & Install 1 - FYA Regulatory Sign Install 1 - Opticom Detector & wire to control cabinet Install 1 - OGL System / Unit & wire to control cabinet Install new IMSA 5C #14 multi conductor cable back to the control cabinet Supply & Install 20LF Schedule 40 PVC conduit Provide and install concrete signal post base, MoDOT Type F9.5 and rebar reinforcement cage. Include 1-3/4" anchor bolts. -Provide and install concrete pedestrian pole assembly base, MoDOT Type C. -Concrete base location will not change, contractor required to demo existing base. -Install contractor provided pedestrian signal head, push button and sign on new pedestrian pole assembly. Location must be within 5 feet of the back of the curb ramp crosswalk. -Provide IMSA 2C #14 wiring for wiring the pedestrian equipment. -Provide and install IMSA 5C #14 wiring from the signal pole hand-hole to the signal heads. No jumpers will be allowed. -Install / connect city provided video detection camera on signal mast arm as required -Trench and install one 2" PVC conduit run from new pull-box to and through the new concrete base per MoDOT standards, approximately 35 ft. Pull existing signal cable through the conduit run -Provide and install new Class 2 preformed pull-box per MoDOT standards with required grounding -Provide and install grounding per MoDOT standards
