The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners is soliciting competitive sealed proposals from qualified service providers for Disaster Debris Removal, Reduction, Disposal, and Other Emergency Debris Related Services on an Annual Contract with Four Annual Options for the Department of Transportation. Questions regarding proposals should be directed to Lindsey Gravitt, Purchasing Associate II at lindsey.gravitt@gwinnettcounty.com or by calling 770-822-7833, no later than 4:00 P.M. October 28, 2022. Proposals are legal and binding upon the bidder when submitted. One (1) unbound original and six (6) copies, and one (1) thumb drive should be submitted. All suppliers must submit with bid, a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid. Failure to submit a bid bond with the proper rating will result in the proposal being deemed non-responsive. Successful supplier will be required to meet insurance requirements, submit a one hundred percent (100%) performance bond and a one hundred percent (100%) payment bond. Insurance and Bonding Company should be licensed to do business by the Georgia Secretary of State, authorized to do business in Georgia by The Georgia Insurance Department, listed in the Department of Treasury's Publication of Companies holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Surety on Federal Bonds and as acceptable reinsuring companies. The bid bond, payment bond, and performance bond must have an A.M. Best rating of A-5 or higher. Gwinnett County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals to waive technicalities, and to make an award deemed in its best interest. The contract will be a one year contract utilized on an as needed basis with the option to be renewed for four additional one-year periods if mutually agreed upon by both parties, within budgetary limitations, and at the same terms and conditions.
