The City will receive such bids at City Hall, 31200 Oak Crest Drive, Westlake Village, California 91361. at which time they will be publicly opened and read.All questions shall be submitted in writing or email to: City of Westlake Village Mark Wessel, 31200 Oak Crest Dr. Westlake Village, CA 91361 markw@wlv.org The Project includes furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and other incidental and appurtenant work necessary to satisfactorily paint traffic signal poles, mast arms, cabinets, and related equipment at various locations, as more specifically described in the Contract Documents. The work shall be performed in conformance with the Contract Documents, permits from regulatory agencies with jurisdiction, and applicable regulations. The quantity of work to be performed and materials to be furnished are approximations only, being given as a basis for the comparison of bids. Actual quantities of work to be performed may vary at the discretion of the City Engineer. Before starting any construction work, the Contractor will be required to obtain all necessary permits from the City, which may include obtaining a no fee encroachment permit for Work within the public right-of-way, as well as all other permits required from all other agencies. Should the Project require construction of trenches or excavations which are five (5) feet or deeper and into which a person is required to descend, the Contractor shall obtain a Cal/OSHA permit and furnish the City with a copy before Work commences on this Project. The Contractor shall bear all cost for fees for all agencies except for the City's permit fees. Each bid must be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, certified check, or bidder's bond issued by a surety insurer, each of which must be made payable to the City and in an amount not less than 10% of the total bid submitted. Personal or company checks are not acceptable. Upon contract award, the Contractor shall provide a performance bond and a payment bond, each in a sum equal to the contract price. The Performance Bond shall remain in force until the date of recordation of the Notice of Completion and the end of all warranty periods set forth in the Contract Documents.
