The Good Spirit School Division is accepting tenders for Facility Snow Removal services at Kamsack Comprehensive School and Victoria School in Kamsack, SK. Scope of Work: Snow clearing - Areas to be cleared on a regular basis are the bus lanes, staff/student parking lot(s) and other areas as designated. Snow Piling - Snow is to be piled in the identified area. Snow Hauling - At certain locations hauling snow will be required. Work Timelines: The contract will be a one-year term from November 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023, with the understanding that snowfall may occur outside of these dates and may require clearing but would be completed only when requested. Snow clearing is to be completed by 8:00 a.m. the morning after snowfall. A second removal may be required on days of heavy snowfall and would be completed only when requested. Hazards - potential hazards in locations may include, but are not limited to, parking curbs, light and power poles, bicycle racks, garbage, and recycling dumpsters, etc. Awarded tenders will require a site consultation with school administration prior to first snow fall to aid in being aware of any hazards. Conditions of Tender: Facility locations may be awarded individually, or in any combinations thereof, which best suits the Good Spirit School Division interests, as determined by the Good Spirit School Division. Tender submission must include the following information: Location(s) Estimated total hours for 1 snow instance / location Estimated total cost for 1 snow instance / location Hourly rate(s) Description of equipment to be used and capability to provide priority service Any additional details The lowest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted. Contractors shall comply with The Saskatchewan Employment Act and The Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, 1996 passed pursuant to the said Act, as both may be amended from time to time, throughout the term of the Agreement.
