Construction of Miscellaneous Updates Slocomb Housing Authority, Slocomb, Alabama The scope of the work will include plumbing upgrades, lighting upgrades, new medicine cabinets, new exhaust fans, and screen door replacement at various units on Forrest Street, Bateman Avenue, and South Kelly Road. Proposals shall be submitted on forms included in the specifications or copies thereof and shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of 5% of the bid. Checks shall be made payable to the Slocomb Housing Authority. Subcontractors and material suppliers may obtain whole or partial sets of plans and specifications by paying the cost of reproduction and mailing. Refunds will not be made on such sets. If plans and specifications are not returned or if a bona fide bid is not submitted, the deposit will not be refunded. All bidders must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama 1975. Licensing required by local municipalities shall be obtained prior to the execution of construction contract. Bidders must include with their bid the Proposal Form, Bid Bond, Representations, Certificates and other Statements of Bidders, Non-Collusive Affidavit, Previous Participation Certification and Certification of Bidder Regarding Equal Employment Opportunity, E-Verify Affidavit, each signed by the Bidder. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the time and date set for bid opening. The accepted bidders will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, both in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. The cost of the bonds shall be included in the proposal. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities.
