This project consists of construction of a new reinforced concrete structure and mechanical tilting weir gates within the New River Canal, and other items as required by the plans, contract documents and technical specifications. All bids must be in accordance with the Contract documents on file at the Ascension Parish Purchasing Department, 615 E. Worthey, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737. Contractors desiring to bid shall submit to the Engineer, with their request for Contract Documents, contract documents deposit and evidence that they hold State License of proper classification and in full force and effect. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Total Bid must accompany each bid, and shall be made payable to the Owner. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening therof. All questions regarding this project and the bid package shall be submitted to the Purchasing Department via purchasing@apgov.us by 3:00 pm on October 27, 2022. Responses will be coordinated with the Project Engineer and posted on electronically website by 5:00 pm on Tuesday November 1, 2022. In addition to paper bids, electronic bids and electronic bid bonds for the following project will be downloaded by the Ascension Parish Purchasing Department. The Parish of Ascension reserves the right to disqualify any Bid, response to a Request for Qualifications, or Request for Proposals if it is determined that the submitting business entity is not in good standing with the Louisiana Secretary of State or is not authorized to do business in the State of Louisiana.
